10 Second Answers plays with the concept of getting across an idea in a short space of time. The aim was to make a series of ten, 10 second films each focusing around the playful theme of Interaction between camera and people.
This project is all about people’s reactions. By watching their reactions, it becomes evident what the question is. I asked everyone the same questions and was given completely different answers. Even when the answers were similar, they were delivered in such a way that it was completely different.
The people interviewed make this project work. I interviewed 72 people in 6 different locations around London. Their personal spontaneous response to the questions asked, creates the narrative for the film. Resulting in a collection of short films.
Filmed by Nichola Rich.
